Playing

Pick an opponent at the bar, the sign on the wall for the tournament, or the robot behind the bar for practice. Push the puck to serve; hit it by moving the paddle through it — the faster the paddle, the harder the shot. Fifteen points wins.

On a phone, drag anywhere on the screen to move the paddle; a second finger held down is the mouse button. Tap to choose and to carry on.

About

Christopher Gross's Shufflepuck Café (Brøderbund, 1988), re-implemented in JavaScript from the 68000 program of the Macintosh release: the table and its physics, the nine opponents' reflexes from their own parameter tables, their serves and reactions, the chalk-hand scoreboard and the bar, drawn with a small QuickDraw from the game's own pictures, fonts and sounds. No emulator.

Your name, Champ?

It goes on the sign over the bar and into the roster.

Thanks for playing.
